The alarm goes off. It’s 6.01am. Aaarrgghhh! Not work again! Alas it Saturday that means leisure time and instead of a lie in we are up and about and off to the Peak District. It takes us 80 minutes before arriving at the SurpriseView car park. We are the lone car. Looks a bit dull out with the threat of rain. Ah, spoke too soon. Back in the car for breakfast then. The Heather is in full bloom. That’s why we’re here. Purple mass of the moors. Simply beautiful. The sun is on one of his in out days. Which is fine by me and that means lots of clouds. Good landscape photographing weather. We visit Owlet Tor, the Longshaw estate (for lunch, yum) and then onto Stanage Edge. The views are stunning. Makes the weekend feel good and hopefully a few good images on the bag.
