A vibrant hint of Pink Pepper presents the sensuality of Damascena Rose, swathed in Vanilla and White Musk. After a few minutes the powder softens into more of a face powder/lipstick scent with vanilla and incense in the background; the rose and violet are still very present and in your face. I don't get incense and certainly nothing smoky, just a fresh light floral with a powder vibe that packs a punch. Please note that this is not produced by Coty (which in my opinion, has ruined many perfumes), but by LVMH group (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy). On the whole, this is a pleasant fragrance, though it definitely comes across as oversweet if inhaled too closely (I have spoken before of how I detest soapy scents).

New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging . i don't normally go for *mainly* floral scents as i'm more of a gourmand person, but i like how this dries down and smells a bit like sugar and vanilla. Of course the brand has other scents, but the moment someone says Kenzo, you will be excused for thinking of Kenzo Flower Perfume. Enveloping White Musks and Vanilla, Pink Pepper and Damascena Rose embody the sensuality of this feminine fragrance that has become an emblem in the world of perfume-making. Morillas showed Kenzo three perfume trials that he’d been working on; everyone liked the one that Morillas had, by chance, dubbed Pourpre, or purple.

Now it smells flat with no depth, only sharp florals, and like there’s more citrus, no powderyness whatsoever. I’d wear this around my old boss or if I worked in retail and I didn’t want people to come close to me, like in a good way I guess. In my opinion, the scent begins slightly "in your face" with a very fresh sharpness, which most likely comes from the ginger. The scent of Kenzo Flower reminds me of back when I used to sneak into other people's vanity as a little girl.

Anyway, this smells just like what I was hoping Miss Guerlain Rose nRoses would smell like, only with more longevity (by far). It lasts around 3-4 hours on me with moderate silage, then the next 2-3 hours it becomes a skin scent. It is mesmerizing as a whisper, a huge commercial success and entirely imagined from a flower with no scent.

Well, I tried to, but it wouldn’t spray out and dribbled down the tube onto my fingers and so I smeared it onto my wrist instead. I’m not experienced enough to know what note I didn’t like but it was very bitter, maybe a chemical even. Made me think of beautiful flowers in a field although in reality the scent was more urban as opposed to countryside. Violet, Mandarin and Damascena Rose add a finishing touch to the powdery Vanilla and White Musks accord.

It’s not too sweet (like Valentino Poudre) or to o sharp (like Chloe Love that had to add that hyacinth biting edge).

Best worn in those transition months between those seasons and into the cooler days of early spring.Thing is - you need to sniff the skin (at least on me) to get that wonderful trail of bruised petals - in the air, it's more like a powderbomb - and sweet. I can properly have an everyday fave again after a long period of gripping onto limited editions and discontinued stuff.
