This Friday is one of the biggest events on the social scene in Edinburgh – Ladies Day at Musselburgh Racecourse. Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity. After sifting through dozens of suggestions, the breakfast team opted for 80s hit Kayleigh by Marillion thanks to its local connection, with lead singer "Fish" living in East Lothian. I CAN’T believe we’re nearly at the end of July already. Before we know it we’ll be into August and in Edinburgh that means just one thing… Festival time. If we don’t do it for you maybe this will – a new breakfast cereal which the makers claim can boost your sex drive!

I remember the Tay AM of the early 2000's when I was in my early '40's being the reason that I bought my first DAB radio. Sure, some songs were played a little bit too often..... Twilight Cafe by Susan Fassbender was one of them, but it had a really wide playlist and it wasn't being programmed by algorithms. I think it's fair to say that both the GHR and the City Hits stations in Scotland have a very repetitive playlist.......much more so than was the case 10/15 years ago when there was an AM and an FM station in each area basically doing it's own thing for most of the time except midnight till 6am. Most people (ie normal listeners, not radio geeks like us) aren't listening all day and analysing the output. The y are just dipping in and out and likely don't notice or aren't bothered about the repetitive and narrow playlist. I find listening to Tay 2 increasingly annoying - even with a top class breakfast show from Ewan and Cat - because of all the great music from the four decades they are covering that they don't play.

They have confirmed ewen and cat and Webster giving them 7 hours they still need 3 hours which will come from drive

A spokesman said: “We recommend using only in moderation, or you’ll be ramping up the romance before lunch.” Camila has a new song called Bam Bam and was on Clyde to talk about it and her new album (Image: Getty Images) Read More Related Articles Well we know it's not going to be as they are keeping the am transmitters going for the time being so need 10 hours from Scotland. Gordon Smart - appeared on The Big Saturday show and covered for Ewen & Cat with Amy MacDonald and on his ownDAB coverage of the "local" 2 stations is far more extensive than that covered by the local MW transmitters. Three or more plays a day for current songs has never been unusual, what is annoying is the constant churning out of the same oldies on the 2 stations-just because you've reached a certain age doesn't mean you want to hear the same old songs for ever.

Gregor & Lynsey - done holiday cover over the summer with The Big Saturday Football Show and recently in for Boogie & Arlene In keeping with the multi-media digital environment we now operate within, we wanted to seek out a new contemporary office space and state-of-the-art facilities to ensure we can build on our market-leading position long into the future. I agree at times Forth 1 seem to play the same songs 2 or 3 times a day and some music is now is not to my liking.I wouldn't be surprised if listeners in areas across Scotland and northern England were finding the same, and tuning elsewhere. If there's no local output, people will start to flip over to DAB and find a national station that plays the music they actually want to hear. Dan and Grace have been given a go covering Saturday breakfast on clyde and forth and Grace has covered a few times on the network now. There are lots of ways you can listen to Forth 2, you can find us on your good old traditional radio.
