Description

Unless we outwit the devil, that is. Lesson 3: There are seven principles which help us gain mental, spiritual, and physical freedom.

The state of mind known as faith apparently opens to one the medium of a sixth sense through which one may communicate with sources of power and information far surpassing any available through the five physical senses. The other self told Hill to stop giving in to fear and doubt and finally finish his philosophy of achievement, which he did. When we’re listening to our other self, we have faith in ourselves. We don’t give in to what Steven Pressfield calls the Resistance. This is the only way to properly operate in life. The desire for sex expression and love • The desire for physical food • The desire for spiritual, mental, and physical self-expression • The desire for perpetuation of life after death • The desire for power over others • The desire for material wealth • The desire for knowledge • The desire to imitate others • The desire to excel others • The seven basic fears

One’s partner in marriage and in the home and one’s associates in his occupation. After that come close friends and acquaintances. Casual acquaintances and strangers have but little influence on one. The time they [people] spend in fearing something would, if reversed, give them all they want in the material world and save them from me after death.” I would definitely like to listen to the book again, but I would prefer to listen again without the editor commentary. I believe it would enhance the flow of the story and allow me to continue with the provoking thoughts without interruption. I did find the commentaries helpful at some times but mostly just distracting.. Be definite in everything you do and never leave unfinished thoughts in the mind. Form the habit of reaching definite decisions on all subjects. Nature is not interested in morals as such. She is not interested in right and wrong. She is not interested in justice and injustice. She is interested only in forcing everything to express action according to its nature!

The most highlighted strategy of the Devil, according to Hill, is to get people into drifting, not being settled on a major definite purpose for their life, which causes them to be ineffective. And here, I agree that many of the Devil’s strategies seem to distract and discourage us from living out our true purpose. When you pray, do not beg! Demand what you want and insist upon getting exactly that, with no substitutes. I now pray, not for more of this world’s goods and greater blessings, but to be worthy of that which I already have. Teach children the true nature and function of the emotion of sex, and above all, teach them that it can be transmuted into a driving force capable of lifting one to great heights of achievement. I have observed also that one’s state of mind is the determining factor when prayer works, as well as when it does not. I have learned that those who meet with difficulties which seem insurmountable may, if they will do so, best overcome these difficulties by forgetting them for a time and helping others who have greater problems.

I am the creator of all forms of human misery, the instigator of discouragement and disappointment. Outwitting the Devil was written in 1938 by the author known as "the maker of millionaires." It's a bid to answer the question as to why so many of us fail to reach our full potential, and how we can adopt strategies to achieve our goals. hypnotic rhythm is something to be studied, understood, and voluntarily applied to attain definite desired ends. I hear my elderly members arguing about…“The Church is not following Baptist Doctrine, Blah Blah Blah Money this Money that…. ETC”Mastery over self. Discipline equals freedom. If you’re driven by impulse all your life, you’ll go nowhere, like a drifter.

and I would be leery of what the man is really all about when it comes to understanding whether the man loved Jesus or not.We fear poverty, criticism, becoming ill, losing loved ones, growing old, and death. While fear is a natural instinct, it's often the excuse we make to deny ourselves acting on our dreams and goals. We act on our fears rather than rationalizing them. Fear cripples us, it makes us procrastinate, and when we procrastinate, we stagnate. We're not only corrupted through institutions and indoctrination. We're also corrupted through substances such as alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, and unhealthy foods. The Hypnotic Rhythm
